To ensure the normal operation and long service life of the unit, good maintenance is key. Therefore, air compressor unit maintenance procedures must be followed carefully. Before embarking on maintenance, prepare at least the following:
1. Cut off the power of the host and hang a sign on the power switch.
2. Close the stop valve leading to the air supply system to prevent compressed air from flowing back to the part being inspected. Never rely on one-way valves to isolate the air supply system.
3. Open the manual vent valve, drain the pressure in the system, and keep the vent valve open.
4. For water-cooled machines, the water supply system must be turned off and the water pipeline pressure released.
5. Make sure the compressor unit has cooled down to prevent scalding and burns.
6. Wipe away oil and water traces on the floor to prevent slipping.
“warn”
- Don’t think that just because the machine is shut down, you can carry out inspection and maintenance work. The machine’s automatic control system will start the compressor at any time.
- Poor maintenance not only affects the normal operation of the unit, but may also affect the safety of operators.
- Do not remove nuts, filler plugs and other parts when the air compressor is running or under pressure.
- Do not use flammable solvents such as gasoline or kerosene to clean the air filter or other parts. Safe solvents should be used as directed
